Today, I thought I would take make an interesting article on one of my favorite topics, jerseys! One thing I thoroughly enjoy and research quite a bit is jerseys, jersey history, and stuff like that. I patiently wait every December or so for the Adidas catalog to leak so I can see what potential teams might be getting a new jersey, whether it be a throwback, alternate/3rd, or a new home/away jersey. My last few articles have been on the more serious side of things, so I thought I would change it up for today.
There are a few things I should address prior to showing my list. I know some teams have relocated (Atlanta Flames to Calgary; Colorado Rockies to New Jersey; Minnesota North Stars to Dallas; Quebec Nordiques to Colorado; Winnipeg Jets to Arizona; Hartford Whalers to Carolina; and Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg) but all jersey’s that are my favorites at the moment, are where the team is playing currently. For example, I chose a Colorado jersey rather than a Quebec jersey despite them being the same franchise. Doesn’t mean I couldn’t choose Quebec for example, I just happen to prefer the jerseys from where the team is currently playing. My one restriction I made was that the jersey had to be worn in a game (as a Home, Away, Throwback, Alternate/3rd, Outdoor game, etc). The only exception I made was with Vegas because they only have 2 jerseys (Home & Away), I made it so I can choose any specialty practice jersey they may have worn as well.
