On Sunday, all 10 countries participating in the 2021 World Juniors entered the bubble in Edmonton, Alberta, and rosters, for the most part, have been finalized. The rosters don’t have to be registered with the IIHF until December 24th, but all 10 countries have announced their final 25-man rosters, with the exception of a couple who still have to make a couple of cuts.
Instead of breaking it down by country, I’ve decided to break it down into each NHL team, and I have listed how many drafted prospects are going to be featured in the 2021 World Juniors.
There will be a total of 114 NHL drafted prospects playing at this years tournament. Canada has 24, the USA has 23, Sweden has 18, Russia has 18, Finland has 17, the Czech Republic has 9, Germany has 2, Slovakia has 2, Austria has 1, and Switzerland has none.
The Los Angeles Kings lead the way with 9 prospects, while the St. Louis Blues have none.
Under each team name I’ve listed their prospects participating at the tournament, and in brackets it shows what year they were drafted, along with the round, and overall number. For example, if a player was drafted in the second round, 33rd overall in 2020, it will show (2020: 2/33). Beside each prospects name, I’ve also listed their country, and what position they play.
